Description

BarbariTube 647E—our first Electro-Acoustic circuit in a TubeSynth—is HIGH-VOLTAGE ANALOG pure, uncut & triple-distilled. Which is to say it’s a TubeSynth able to play the actual SPACE you’re in. We took a high-voltage twin-triode vacuum tube wired for maximum gain, cut out all the expensive patch-cord CV/OPTO bits, ditched the pricey button logic hardware & shoved the business-end of our first ever Electro-Acoustic Synth Circuit smack in-the-middle.

How does it work? You plug it in. You fuck around. You find out.

You do so LOUDLY if you know what’s bad for the neighbors—& good—for the Electro-Acoustic circuitry.

Barbaritube’s authentic organic Tube-Analog sounds are alive, at your fingertips—NOW—& critically—HERE.

Making music in the “here & now” is refreshing: NO endless nested menus or deep-dish manuals to memorize just to get started. Hands down Barbaritube the fastest way to get kicked out of any respectable band, synth meet or swap meet.

Tube-Analog Barbaritube runs at nearly 200 volts with virtually limitless Analog resolution. When 247E’s signals are reduced to a blazing-hot range of 0 to +/-18v the transients get SHARPER & PURER—not blurrier & more messy like the legions of digi-chipped knob-gobbers. That’s what gives its voice that incomparable impact.

647E perfects one of Trogotronic’s earliest & crudest themes starting with the 312E Mask 30+ years ago. When the Electro-Acoustic switch is engaged Barbaritube plays differently:

1990’s Trogotronic 312E Mask Electro-Acoustic Instrument
  1. in different rooms
  2. with different volumes
  3. on different surfaces
  4. with different amplifiers
  5.  with different EQ’s
  6. & different effects

Each of these differences is not what happens after the sound leaves the synth, but what happens as the room becomes an important organic component of the instrument’s actual Analog Audio Synthesis. Which means every time you hit the Electro-Acoustic switch in a new place, you’ve added a new opportunity for a new sound. Set & Setting.
